As you are probably aware, VW/Audi 1.6 Diesel engines have been obsolete for a long time and we were lucky to find a few of these extremely rare jewels stashed away and forgotten at one of VW's many warehouses overseas and are pleased to offer them to you. This Engine is equipped with Hydraulic Lifters. We also have these available in Solid (Mechanical) Lifter Configuration. Pls. specify which type (Solid or Hydraulic) you require. It comes with a new Heavy-Duty Oil Pump with 36mm Gears. ****NOTE**** The engine shown is one we unpacked and are setting up for a customer who requires an electric block heater installed before we ship it out to him. That is why it is missing the middle freeze plug in the back of the block.
