DESCRIPTION:
Performs tasks associated with the various areas of assembly, plastics and inspection.
Read, interpret, and use appropriate documentation for the specific area, while performing electronic operations.
Read, comprehend, and follow assembly-related engineering drawings, Military and NASA workmanship specifications, parts lists, wire lists, procedures; along with verbal instructions.
A minimum of three years on the job, high reliability electronics assembly and hand soldering experience
While in position required to obtain current certification status for: (depending on function)
High Reliability Soldering
High Reliability Crimping
Electrostatic Damage
Staking and Conformal Coating.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Candidate must have knowledge of basic arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), experience measuring assembly-related hardware using tape measure and rules to + 1/32, and dial calipers to +0.010.
Knowledge of conformal coat process, including; adhesive boding applications, hand masking, hand brushing and spray.
Proficient reading and comprehension skills and good communication skills
An effective and flexible team player, who can build constructive and effective relationships, uses diplomacy and tact.
Assemble complex cable and wire harnesses.
Assemble and solder through-hole and surface mount parts onto Printed Wiring Assembly, Power Supply and Circuit Card Assembly and Chassis Assemblies.
