The I&C Supervisor is responsible for managing a staff of two associates as well as installing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, controls, and electrical /electronic system at water and wastewater treatment facilities. This is a position with a high degree of knowledge of instrumentation, controls, low, medium and high voltage switchgear, transformers, generators, protective relays and motor control centers.The Challenge! To work as the I&C Operations Supervisor with the team in Rio Rancho, NM. The wastewater system consists of six treatment facilities: a 6 mgd nitrate removal plant, two 1.2 mgd activated sludge plants, and two 0.5 mgd membrane bioreactor facilities (with a build-out capacity of 10 mgd). Construction of two membrane plants was completed and commissioned in xxxx. Both plants use Zenon filtration technology and were built to accommodate area growth, serving two subdivisions. We successfully commissioned and brought online 10 new arsenic treatment potable water facilities, the two new wastewater plants, and numerous upgrades to facilities while maintaining continuous service.The I&C Supervisor is responsible for managing a staff of two associates as well as installing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, controls, and electrical /electronic system at water and wastewater treatment facilities. This is a position with a high degree of knowledge of instrumentation, controls, low, medium and high voltage switchgear, transformers, generators, protective relays and motor control centers. This person will assist the Operations and Maintenance Manager and advise O&M Technicians and Supervisors on instrument, controls.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Calibrates tests, maintains, troubleshoots and installs all plant instrumentation, control systems and electricalequipment.Performs maintenance on motor control centers, motor operated valves, flow meters and other equipment.Performs preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on equipment, coordinating work with various teammembers.Design and installs new equipment and/or system modifications.Troubleshoot and performs maintenance on process controls, programmable logic controls (PLC).Uses maintenance reporting system to record time and material use, problem identified and corrected, and furtheraction required; provides complete history of maintenance on equipment.Schedule, coordinate, work with and monitors contractors on specific tasks as required.Follow safe working practices at all times.Identify safety hazards and recommends solutions.Follow environmental compliance work practices.Assist other team members and work with all departments to support I&C goals.Train other team members in the areas of instrumentation, control, and electrical systems.Conduct equipment and system tagging according to company and plant rules and regulations.Perform equipment safety inspections as required and record results as appropriate.Participate in small construction projects. Read and interpret drawings, sketches, prints and specifications asrequired.Order parts as needed to affect maintenance and repair.Perform operations tasks on an as-needed basis and other tasks as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED4+ years supervisory Instrumentation & Controlsvoltages to 15 KVDemonstrated knowledge of safe work practices associated with a plant environment.Demonstrated ability to calibrate I&C systems and equipment, including analytic equipment.Demonstrated ability to configure and operate various test instruments and equipment as necessary totroubleshoot and repair plant equipment including, but not limited to; distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, motor control centers, transformers, and generators.Valid drivers license with no major infractions in past 5 yearsPreferred QualificationsAt CH2M, the greatest challenges provide the biggest rewards.
