As a Hotel Front Desk Supervisor, you will supervise front office staff while implementing and supporting best-in-class hospitality practices, with an eye on maximizing guest satisfaction and ensuring repeat business.
Your specific duties in this role will include:
Assisting staff with expediting problem payments (e.g., problems processing credit card)
Following up with guests regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues
Processing all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys
Processing all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
Setting up accurate accounts for each guest upon check-in
Anticipating sold-out situations and obtaining satisfactory alternative accommodations when the property cannot accommodate guests with reservations
Blocking rooms in the computer and identifying designated requirements and requests
Contacting appropriate individual or department (e.g., Engineering, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems
Coordinating with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
Balancing and dropping receipts according to accounting specifications
Assisting management in training, motivating, and coaching employees, and serving as an effective role model
Anticipating and addressing all guests' service needs
Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with staff members as well as guests
We are looking for a warm and outgoing Hotel Front Desk Supervisor with a strong leadership skills and a firm commitment to ensuring the best possible customer service and guest experience. You should also have solid decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills It is also important that you have excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills as well as the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers using patience, tact, and diplomacy as necessary.
Specific qualifications for the role include:
High school diploma or GED; college degree, a plus
Minimum 2 years relevant experience; previous hospitality experience, preferred
Excellent telephone and customer service skills
Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
Computer and technology proficiency (e.g. tablets, iPads)
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work long hours as needed
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Strong English language skills
