Develops and oversees national training and support programs related to institutional environmental health for the Environmental Health Support Center (EHSC). Assesses and evaluates common environmental health needs through needs analysis. Develops training courses and curriculums to address gaps and mitigate identified needs. Ensures EHSC training programs maintain appropriate accreditations such as International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Back to top Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the selective placement factor, basic requirement, AND the specialized experience requirements as noted below: Selective Placement Factor: Have a professional registration as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist or National Health Association deemed equivalent in any state (e.g. Registered Sanitarian (RS), Registered Professional Sanitarian (RPS), Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS)) (Proof of registration must be submitted with application) AND A valid State Driver's License Basic Requirement: Have a bachelor's or higher degree with a major study in an academic field related to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. (Transcripts are required at time of application submission) AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must have: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service, that included coordinating a national training program related to institutional environmental health and injury prevention; assisting in the development of training agreements and contracts with various agencies; and consulting area programs on their specific training and support needs. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must have: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service, that included overseeing a national training program related to institutional environmental health and injury prevention; developing training agreements and contracts with various agencies; and conducting annual reviews of training policies for updates and compliance.
