Job Summary:
The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and generating new residential mortgage loans from Builders, Realtors and Native American Tribe Associations. The hours and level of responsibility may vary by location. The CRM will work independently and make sales calls to potential customers and referral sources. Typical referral sources include realtors, home builders, real estate attorneys, accountants, financial consultants, real estate appraisers, etc. This is a sales position which requires frequent work outside of the office at business development functions and community events, to conduct office visits of real estate agencies, and attorneys, and to meet with loan applicants.
Job Duties (include but are not limited to)
Build relationships with Builders, realtors, and developers
Service those relationships with product trainings, attend realtor functions and Q & A events
Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining knowledge of product/pricing policies and guidelines.
Maintain communication with the above mentioned customers to serve as a buffer between the customer and the Mortgage Loan Originator.
Distribute marketing material
Continually identify, develop and maintain a quality network of business referral sources to prospect new mortgage lending opportunities.
Demonstrate a commitment to professional ethics and compliance with all Federal and State regulatory and legislative policies.
Qualifications:
Previous banking, lending, or sales experience
College degree preferred
Active NMLS registered Mortgage Loan Originator License required
Knowledge of FHA, FNMA,FHLMC guidelines
Demonstrated knowledge mortgage underwriting and closing processes
Candidate must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment
Must have effective written and oral communication skills.
PC literate
Proficient using Microsoft Office
Sales oriented with excellent interpersonal communication, skills and a strong desire to succeed.
Must be able to work outside of regular business hours to meet customer and loan process needs.
Ability to move 15+ pounds
Must have Drivers License and reliable transportation
Ability to drive for 6-8 hours a day
Education:
There are no mandatory academic prerequisites for the position of MLO. However, previous banking, lending or sales experience may provide transferable skills that can be applied to mortgage loan origination. College degree preferred.
