The Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
This position requires prior knowledge and experience of being a steward in a hotel with banquet space.
Supervises other stewards / dishwashers.
Supervises the dish pantry department in the following: collection of dishes from various outlets in the building, sorting and separation of china, glassware and silverware.
Loading, running, cleaning and maintaining the dishwashing machine and ensuring clean items meet department standards.
Supplying the kitchen, banquet and restaurant with clean utensils and dishes for service.
Ensure that the day prior to a function(s) all equipment (chinaware, glassware and flatware) is clean, polished and ready to be used by the banquet or restaurant servers.
Ensuring that the dishwashing conveyor and all related equipment are well maintained, cleaned and operated according to standard.
Overseeing the cleaning schedule for the dish pantry area, walk in and kitchen production and banquet service areas to ensure proper cleanliness for Health Department inspections and daily inspections.
Organize and complete the quarterly china, glassware and silverware inventory. Provide requested results to Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef and Banquet Sous Chef for review.
Communicate to the Executive Chef and Director of Engineering when necessary repairs are needed and follow up to ensure that requested repairs have been completed.
Facilitates and ensures that the daily stand up meetings by shift are conducted to ensure that property information is communicated and understood.
Maintain glass storage area.
Ensure walk-ins, silverware storage room, dry storage, chemical room, loading dock, pot and pan area and soda room are swept, mopped and organized each day.
The following day's plates and plate covers are to be stocked in the plate warmer for dish ups.
Maintain cleaning schedule for heavy equipment,, ovens, broilers, fryers and stovetops.
Ensure that the kitchen floors are swept, mopped and maintained in a safe manner.
Ensure that the trash is emptied each day.
Ensure that hot boxes, queen mary's and speed carts are wiped down and maintained in clean condition.
Ensure associate restrooms are cleaned and stocked per the posted schedule.
Wear proper safety and sanitation equipment.
Report to work for scheduled shift on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
Perform other related duties as required.
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Technical Requirements:
-Must live in the local area or within commuting distance.

Educational Requirements:
