Job Description
Our client offers integrated coverage to their advisors in order to raise and retain assets for their investment products.​ The Associate Vice President is responsible for educating, training and motivating financial advisors to raise and retain assets for our client.​
The AVP is responsible for working directly with Financial Advisors in partnership with a Regional Vice President to build fund sales momentum within specific territories.​ The AVP will spend a significant amount of time making proactive sales presentations to advisors over the phone and through virtual meetings.​ Other responsibilities include supporting sales, marketing and educational efforts to provide long-term sales solutions and an exceptional customer experience.​
Responsibilities
Partner with a Regional Vice President (RVP) to execute business strategies for a given territory with a focus on retaining assets and generating referrals.​
Identify opportunities with key advisors through developing a comprehensive understanding of the advisors business and developing business plans and profiles.​
Develop extensive working knowledge of our product offerings and the industry through participation in internal team meetings and sector specific webinars for distribution throughout the inside and outside wholesaling teams.​
Travel to advisor events and conferences and act on behalf of the Regional Vice President as needed.​
Be responsible for sales success as determined by sales goals and number of referrals generated
Consistently meet or exceed customer expectations as measured by satisfaction surveys.​
Maintain a minimum call volume each day and meet or exceed attendance expectations at certain firm events such as road shows, conference calls, broker dealer events, due diligence events or other business initiatives sponsored by the firm.​
Experience
Previous sales and relationship management experience in the financial services industry is strongly preferred.​
Ability to collaborate and develop/​maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization to enable effective completion of business objectives.​
In depth knowledge of financial markets, asset allocation and portfolio construction.​
Primarily motivated by sales success and meeting firm sales goals and targets with an emphasis on maintaining the highest level of customer service.​
Proven ability to work with a CRM system such as SalesForce.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Strong communication skills including the ability to deliver persuasive, succinct presentations and messages
Must have 3-5 years of licensed financial experience.​
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses to be obtained within 90 days of employment if not currently licensed
