Controller - Construction - (Albuquerque) in Albuquerque, New Mexico For Sale

Parker + Lynch is conducting a direct hire search for a Controller. This role will be filled quickly with a company in the Albuquerque area. The company is well established and has been in business for 40 years. This role will report directly to the Owner and General Manager. Strong benefits and competitive salary are offered. This individual will be responsible for the following: * Keeps books and accounting records of financial transactions * Reconciles and balances accounts, financial reporting, light budgeting and forecasting * Verifies, allocates and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or electronic files * Monthly and quarterly financial statement preparation and review * Knowledge of general construction accounting auditing and invoicing required * AP and banking responsibilities * Knowledge or payroll tax and NM Gross Receipts tax * Excellent communication, written and oral, and interpersonal skills are required in order to deal effectively with all level of employees, vendors, contractors, etc. * Work closely with outside CPA on tax reporting, annual financial, etc * Ability to analyze and compare report data * Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages * Ability to coordinate and help all levels of personnel with various issues * Strong computer skills, including windows-based programs * Performs a variety of complicated tasks * Ad hoc tasks as needed Requirements: * 5 - 15 years of experience required * Quickbooks software knowledge strongly preferred * BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required * CPA a nice plus Local ABQ candidates only please Please submit a copy of your Word resume to megan.mcquay@parkerlynch.com for immediate consideration.
