Minimum Skills/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in health or related field or completion within 5 years. One to three years experience in employment setting. Knowledge of contract law highly preferred.
Primary Job Functions
-Supports the vision, values, and purpose of PHS strategies.
-Coordinates the process for hiring physicians and select positions in accordance with PHS employee policy and procedures and in compliance to the affirmative action plan.
-Responsible for assuring physician contracts and offer letters are properly created and executed
-Assures applicants are appropriately screened, credentialed and/or licensed prior to interview and employment.
-Develops a recruitment plan for each posted position in consultation with hiring authority.
-Accepts, screens, interviews and refers appropriate qualified applicants to hiring authority.
-Prepares advertisements on a local and national level to meet recruitment needs for routine and specialized positions.
-Evaluates capabilities of candidates and negotiates starting salaries in accordance with compensation guidelines.
-Have in-depth knowledge of PHS system to be able to recommend hiring decisions.
-Represents PHS on a local, regional, and national level. Develops recruitment strategies, participating in local and national career fairs. Provides in-service and training
related to employment processes at PHS.
-Coordinates the hiring process for key leadership individuals and assigned by supervisor.
-Regional recruiting Involves a minimal of 60% travel to locations throughout the southwest region.
-Follows the HR policies regarding hiring.
-Follows the PMG local and regional recruiting flow chart for hiring new providers.
-Coordinates and communicates the regional recruiting activities with input from the PMG recruiting team, Executive, Associate and Regional Medical Directors.
-Performs other functions as required.
