We are seeking qualified applicants for Audit Senior positions based in the Albuquerque office. This position requires strong fundamental accounting and financial reporting skills as well as demonstrated leadership and client management abilities. Essential Duties:Demonstrate strong written, oral communication, and listening skillsExpertise in one or more specific industry(ies) (eg, NFPs, ERISA, Other level Attestations and Reviews, etc.) and demonstrated knowledge and foundation in all audit areas.Prepare and implement the planning process and planning documents including riskassessmentsDisplay a thorough understanding of audit standards, the audit process, and supervise completion or projectsPossess the ability to understand, explain and review checklists relevant to attestation level engagementsPerform complex research, and reach logical, well-supported technical conclusionsDemonstrate ability to lead and complete entire audit, including complex audit areasPrepare and understand financial statements and comprehensive management letters, including developing and reviewing management letter comments. Including correct interpretation and preparation of financial statement disclosure checklistCommunicate the importance of and teach proper advanced work paper techniques to peers and subordinatesDemonstrate high-level analytical and problem solving skillsDemonstrate a working understanding of Primary and Secondary levels of technical standards (GAAP, AU-C, GAAS, etc.)Demonstrate ability to review low risk and compliance audit areas and begin to review other substantive audit areas in accordance with Quality Control standardsKnowledge/Skills:Bachelor s degree in Accounting, CPA or CPA eligible requiredThree years accounting and supervisory experience requiredKnowledge of accounting and auditing standardsExtensive knowledge of MS Office suite and Pfx Engagement software preferredMust have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interface with clients and internal personnelMust be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environmentMust be a team player with a high sense of urgency and strong problem solving skillsMust be able to work autonomouslyMust be deadline driven with proven ability to set priorities
