The primary role of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is to provide leadership for the South Central region direct field sales representatives, and to attain company sales and profit objectives.  The RSM will develop and maintain relationships with key customers and end-users at all levels of the wholesale/trade channel along with engaging in new business development activities. Responsibilities &#xxxx;    Manage all aspects of sales and marketing, and participate in strategic business planning as needed for the AO Smith WPC Wholesale brands within the South Central U.S. Region. &#xxxx;    Manage multiple brands in the wholesale plumbing distribution channel. Develop and maintain direct relationships with all levels of the distribution channel as well as specifiers, builders, and key end-users. &#xxxx;    Supervise the activities of multiple, overlapping independent manufacturer’s representative organizations and support their sales efforts. &#xxxx;    Collect and analyze market data to develop plans, examine trends, prepare reports, and recommend strategies to upper management. &#xxxx;    Travel as needed, approximately 60-70% of the time. Qualifications &#xxxx;    Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred. &#xxxx;    10+ years direct sales experience in managing independent manufacturer’s representatives and working with wholesale distributors in the Southeast. &#xxxx;    A solid understanding of plumbing and hydronic heating systems. &#xxxx;    Articulate and professional communication skills, including the ability to create and present executive level presentations. &#xxxx;    The ability to manage and motivate a team of independent representatives. &#xxxx;    Strategic planning skills and the ability to create and manage budgets and forecast sales volume. &#xxxx;    The ability to deal with very large customers.
