The Director of Inside Sales is responsible for planning and directing the development and implementation of business and people strategies that support meeting the inside sales team financial and non-financial goals and objectives. This person will be directly leading and coaching an inside sales team focusing on selling HP products and subscription offerings to all levels within HP industry markets, through both direct and indirect (reseller channel) sales. This person will drive sales policy and program matters with America’s executive staff, recommending appropriate actions consistent with strategic and operating priorities of the Division. Working in a collaborative manner, this position will evaluate and implement sales campaigns, tools, technology and process to improve the sales results, function and execution of the team. This person selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the function. This director will report directly to the Vice President of US Enterprise Inside Sales. Key Responsibilities Responsible for setting the vision and building and executing on the strategy for Inside Sales Organization Responsible for managing 80 person sales division with approx. $1.4B in annual sales Lead day to day operations of Inside Sales team and create a culture of accountability that holds individual contributors and managers responsible for attaining their inside sales quotas and goals Acute understanding of managing a large business forecast model with regular attention to detailed fluctuations and 'gap' planning Responsible for monitoring and growing quoted revenue; leveraging best-in-class inside sales tools, technology and strategies Responsible for all decisions regarding hiring, on-boarding, structure, people, process, performance management and rewards/incentives. This includes team building with those from other units who participate on projects. Ensure proper performance management and rewards/recognition guidelines are followed within own team. Director should have deep understanding of linkages between territory sales and channel partners; how they work together, and define what role inside sales will play within this eco-system Develops direct reports and self by establishing professional and personal development goals Responsible for regular sales forecasting and setting and achieving assigned quota for inside sales Participates in the development of and supports target market segmentation strategies with channel sales development and territory sales Recommend, evaluate, enhance and implement new and/or existing tools & technology to manage and scale the inside sales team to enhance and optimize current process Create and provide regular inside sales performance reports to multiple stakeholders, including executive management, territory sales, channel sales, and sales enablement stakeholders. Collaborate with Sales Operations team to review and develop Inside Sales compensation plans that effectively align and reward individual contributors for meeting Autodesk Inside Sales quotas Lead and/or sponsor cross functional or intra-divisional projects for organization or the Division, especially projects related to streamlining and/or improving processes and systems
