This position is responsible for the design, integration, and test of embedded digital and analog circuits for new products in communication, navigation, and surveillance for the general aviation market. Basic Qualifications: . Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. . 5 years experience in board level design or related experience. Additional Qualifications: .Participate in the HW board design - designing and implementing analog & digital circuit designs. .Development to include design and architecture, detailed hardware design, component selection, system and circuit simulation and analysis, perform PWB layout, guide assembly, test, and documentation. .Design Analog/Digital subsystems including a variety of embedded processors, memory, FPGAs, clocking, high speed bus architectures, interfaces to analog/RF subsystems, high speed ADC/DACs, high efficiency extended temperature DC/DC power supplies, and LCD TFT Displays. .RF / Wireless device technology - GSM, Wi-Fi. .EMI/EMC Compliance testing. .Serial communications including RS-232, RS-485, CAN, Jxxxx, I2C, SPI, ARINC429. .Expert in some or all the following areas: PLD, Board schematic and layout, power system, I/O technologies, Microprocessors, CAD Tools/Languages (Spice, PCAD or PADS, Verilog or VHDL), electrical signal analysis and thermal analysis. .Hands on experience in detailed electrical design and product development, as well as in sustaining engineering activities. .Demonstrated experience developing and implementing hardware requirements specifications, technical specifications, ICDs, and test procedures. .A working knowledge of the Product Life Cycle and Engineering Change Order processes. .Knowledge of avionics systems and integration with focus on software controlled embedded applications. .Programming experience (C / C , Lab view, Python, Matlab/Simulink, HDL or others). .Radio system architecture and Software Defined Radio background is a huge plus. .Work and interface effectively with other engineering disciplines in order to create optimal architectures and designs. .A private pilot's license is highly desirable As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Honeywell is committed to a diverse workforce.
