The Center coordinates telehealth activities across the HSC, helps develop and incubate new telehealth programs, and serves as a resource center for questions about telehealth. We are seeking a System Analyst 1 who will coordinate and facilitate telehealth video conferencing for UNM HSC clinical departments. This position will analyze current and proposed departmental/user hardware and software systems; develop and maintain complex systems for various constituencies within the unit; and provide support to include researching & initiating technical solutions for new telehealth programs. This position will provide training on IT solutions, field IT support calls and provide day to day technical support to telehealth customers, internal and external to UNM; assist with new telehealth program planning and launching; assist in the creation of training material; serve as primary contact for Tier II support calls; and coordinate test calls with various organizations around the country. This position may also maintain applicable records including user lists, user accounts and security, and equipment inventory; provide maintenance and troubleshooting for the CfTH video conferencing infrastructure to include the MCUxxxx, IPVCR, Vidyo Portal, Vidyo Router, Vidyo Gateway and Firewall traversal units; and perform other duties as assigned. They should not be viewed as an exhaustive list of the specific duties and prerequisites applicable to individual positions that have been so classified SUMMARY Under general supervision, provides limited system-level support of a multi-user operating system, hardware and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance and support of these systems. Provide support and recommendations for security concerns on computer, servers, software, and vendors. Requires fundamental knowledge of basic systems analysis. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collects information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Aids in customizing, upgrading, integrating, and testing software for users. Installs, tests, maintains and supports operating systems software and hardware. Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration. Documents projects and writes user instructions. Records and maintains hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security. Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems. Performs problem resolution and provides on-call support for computer/network systems. Provides security support for desktop/laptop/server hardware and software. Helps develop and complete vendor security plans. Provides recommendations for changes in security within the organization. Assists with implementing and developing IT security measures with UNMH IT and HSC IT. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree and no previous work experience required. OR Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours with at least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. OR High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Knowledge of federal copyright laws as they pertain to the use of computer software. Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications. Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software. Ability to document work in progress. Records maintenance skills. Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise. Ability to determine the nature of computer hardware and systems software problems, and to communicate technical guidance and information to users. Knowledge of a broad range of relevant multi-user computer systems, applications, and/or equipment. Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions. Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures. Ability to install, test, and maintain operating software and hardware. Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware and/or software solutions. Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocol. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and identify their potential impact within the existing environment. Ability to provide technical guidance and instruction on the use of computer technologies and software. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of video-conferencing and network configuration Experience with training and providing customer service Experience with PC technical support Experience in conducting technical trainings Experience working with video-conferencing networks Experience working with Legacy Systems (Polycom) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Specialty licensure/certification may be required, as specified by the department. Must be employment eligible as verified by the US Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA). Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check. Must provide proof of varicella immunity or obtain varicella vaccinations within 90 days of employment.
